Struggling to attract hard-to-reach but important long-haul Australian guests?

Hoteliers the world over value Australian guests because they book far in advance and stay longer than average. This is due to the long-haul nature of any foreign trip from the geographically isolated country.

But how do you attract Australian guests? One great way to do this is via Australian travel agents and our colleagues might have the answer to your problems at Bedsonline – which is our retail brand, dedicated to working solely with travel agents.

We have a strong Bedsonline Australia presence with local sales teams on the ground maintaining personal relationships with all those key Australian travel agents.

Australia is the third biggest market for Bedsonline in APAC and the 7th biggest source market for the company globally, up from 8th place last year. In fact our Australia source market sales by room night have grown by approximately 40% year-on-year – with many of those bookings being international!

This growth has been driven by the recently renewed value proposition of Bedsonline, following the integration of GTA and Tourico Holidays into Hotelbeds in 2019. Meanwhile sister retail brand TravelCube’s customers migrated last year onto Bedsonline’s class-leading booking platform.

Commenting on the growth in Australian bookings Peter Jones, Regional Sales Manager, Pacific at Bedsonline said: “We are very glad to hear the positive feedback from our travel retailers on the new enhanced offerings, improved payment options, operational support and loyalty rewards program. We are committed to being the ultimate partner for travel businesses and in 2020 will be working harder than ever.”
