Hotelbeds recently launched its first ever annual Corporate Responsibility Report, which has been prepared in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and highlights our strong environmental compliance record.

This report forms part of our focus on establishing measurable sustainability goals and providing detailed information about our initiatives to our employees, partners, and other stakeholders.

Information can be found that outlines the many examples of our commitments such as the launch of the Company’s Corporate Volunteering Programme, that encourages our global workforce to actively participate in volunteering opportunities throughout the globe, making meaningful contributions to the communities where our employees work and live. The report also outlines details of our certification as a Carbon Neutral Organization for the second year running by Carbon Footprint Ltd, an independent body that accredits carbon management measurements and best practices for businesses, by offsetting companies C02 emissions.

Talking about this news our Executive Chairman, Joan Vilà, commented: “I am very pleased today to present our very first Corporate Responsibility Report, which contains information about all the steps we are taking to put sustainability at the centre of everything we do.

“As the leaders in our segment, and as the distributor of around 50 million hotel room nights each year, we have a clear responsibility to demonstrate to our partners and employees that we operate a responsible, transparent business model and that we take very seriously our environmental impact, alongside our commitment to economic and social development around the world.”
