Campaigns to promote your destination: could your hotel benefit?

Did you know that at Hotelbeds we work with destination marketing organisations (DMOs), tourism boards and convention & visitor bureaus (CVBs) to boost visitors to their destinations during desired periods?

This one-of-a-kind B2B marketing service has understandably proven very popular with hotels working with Hotelbeds in the target locations, as they see significant increases in occupation rates during these campaigns!  Maybe your hotel could participate in a campaign?

We are successful in boosting visitor numbers of our destination partners by promoting campaigns and special offers to the over 60,000 B2B travel trade buyers – such as retail travel agents, tour operators, airlines, and points redemption schemes – who together make up to 1.5 billion accommodation searches per day on our platform and reserve more than 50 million room nights per year.

As Hotelbeds has clients in over 140 source markets, with the strategically important Chinese outbound market already our fourth biggest globally, hoteliers in the targeted destinations benefit from receiving a very high percentage of sought-after non-domestic, long-haul bookings that do not compete with traditional visitors.

Joseph Sheller, Director of Destination Marketing at Hotelbeds, comments: “We are revolutionizing the destination marketing industry by giving hoteliers in these destinations incremental PAX from non-competing, long-haul sources. Just as importantly we are giving them high-value PAX. That’s because bookings via the B2B channel typically offer guests that spend more per night, cancel less, stay for longer, spend more in destination and come back more often. Our destination marketing campaigns are strategically designed to target low and shoulder seasons because this is when the hotels and destinations need us the most.”

Already over 50 DMOs from around the world – including Visit Britain, Dubai (DTCM) and the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism – have signed-up for large scale, strategic campaigns using the service and on average they have seen significant increases in the number of PAX visiting their destination during the target periods and source markets.

So take note, we might be in touch with you soon to discuss including your hotel in a campaign for your destination!
